With only days until the election, we’ve been talking to undecided voters to understand what’s really keeping them from backing Kamala Harris. We engaged 100 voters with deep, probing and existential conversations, and our results shed a new light on the reported reasons for the fence-sitting:
- There are a few hidden reasons for their undecidedness - and it's not what they're saying to their friends or the pollsters.
- Underneath the verbatims lies a much more emotional (and in some cases embarrassing) story. These voters want to regain their power and stop being treated like cogs in a wheel.
- In fact, far from not knowing about their candidate, they know exactly why they won't vote or why they're deliberately keeping the world guessing. It restores their sense of dignity and control.
